Enroute Seychelles - Day 2

So far its been a slow trip. Noon to noon run on he second day was 137nm. Last nigght was squall city pretty much all night. Squall would approach, wind goes to 20-25kts with a few gusts to 33kts. Boat sails fast. Wind drops to 10-15kts with heavy rain. Boat sails OK. Squall passes and sucks the wind out of the atmosphere. Motor goes on. Rinse and repeat. This gwent on till about 5:30am. Fatiguing.

Sailing has beebn good most of today with few squalls and making some distance. We are currently at 7* south of he equator and heading a little further south to try and get some favorable current and to stay in our current winds. Haven't reached the halfway point yet.

There is a New Zealand boat, Mai Tai, that is 18 days out of Sumatra close behind us who is also heading to the Seychelles.
